New Skies are moving.
As New Skies traces heritage, origin, emancipation, and migration—moving between past and future, belonging and displacement, the domestic and intimate, the public and political—the exhibition itself now undergoes a migration of its own.
Originally presented within the domestic space of induction, New Skies is moving into induction gallery’s new space at the historic Granada Buildings near Koreatown, Los Angeles.
The relocation becomes part of the work’s narrative: a passage from domestic to institutional space, from private to public, from the hidden and intimate toward visibility. The exhibition does not simply change its location; it reenacts the very conditions of transition, exposure, and emancipation that run through the works themselves.
New Skies are moving—from one space of belonging into another.
